2011 SEMA Show: Ford Introduces 1965 Mustang Convertible Body

Mustang restorers hoping for new replacement body parts for the 1964.5 through 1966 convertible have had their wish granted. The body shell, doors and fenders are made using virgin steel of a higher grade than the original parts and are made with modern welding techniques, rustproofed and ready to paint.
The Mustang Convertible body shell joins two other body shells available to restorers, the 1967-68 and the 1969-70 fastback bodies. The ’65 Convertible body shell starts at $15,000 and includes the doors and trunk lid. Hood and front fenders are sold separately.
